Freecycle‘s mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community.
With 2.5 million members working together in 540 groups all across the UK, Freecycle members can offer for free items which they no longer need, or post a wanted ad for items they’d be appreciative of receiving. As a gifting movement there is nothing to pay to receive an item and users need give no reason as to why they’d like to receive an item. Freecycle users with something to donate can choose who to gift their unwanted items to again without needing to give a reason for their choice.
Freecycle is a great way to keep items out of landfill and give them a second lease of life.
