BraintreeBraintree, recently acquired by PayPal, have announced that they are bringing one touch mobile commerce to UK merchants and consumers for the first time. American Express will support the UK launch of Venmo Touch as Braintree’s exclusive marketing partner with targeted card member communications including newsletters, social media and digital banner ads.

VenmoBraintree’s Venmo Touch allows consumers to save their payment details in one app and check out across its network of apps in one touch. With expanded availability of Venmo Touch, Braintree’s UK merchants, who already include LivingSocial, HotelTonight, Drivr, Bizzby and YPlan as well as financial partners such as American Express, can now build the ease and simplicity of one touch commerce into their mobile experiences.

Venmo Touch makes it easier than ever for consumers to make purchases on a mobile device, and solves one of the biggest barriers companies face selling goods and services on mobile—a simple, one touch checkout experience,” said Braintree CEO Bill Ready. “Bringing Venmo Touch to our European merchants allows them to focus on creating great products and services while offering people the easiest way to pay”.

As mobile commerce becomes increasingly prevalent, Venmo Touch offers our UK card members a simple and convenient way to make repeat purchases on their mobile devices,” said Melinda Davidowski, VP Online Commerce at American Express.

Venmo Touch is available immediately to Braintree merchants and consumers in the UK and will be available in additional European countries in the coming months. You can learn more about Venmo Touch on their website.
