Amazon Seller Central down and offline

No primary category set

It looks like Amazon are having a few issues this evening. We’re hearing that Seller Central has fallen over with sellers getting messages such as “This account is not associated with a valid merchant/marketplace. Sign in as a different user”.

Over at Amazon.com we had a quick check and couldn’t even attempt to log in:

Amazon Seller Central Down

If you’re having difficulty managing your Amazon sales this evening the best advice is to go have a glass of wine or pint of beer and enjoy the sun. Come back later when things are back to normal.

It might be worth following the Amazon Sellers account on Twitter, which has acknowledged a problem. Here’s the latest comment:

We don’t know if it’s affecting the Amazon API which would hit third party management tools, but no doubt Amazon will put a 10p in the leccy meter and get things running again soon.

Let us know what you’re experiencing.

  1. Jeez, been trying to manage products all day. I wonder if this affects buyers being able to purchase? Anyone tried to make a purchase?

  2. Glad to know Amazon can do as they please.

HOW IS YOUR ACCOUNT HEALTH AMAZON?

IS YOUR ORDER DEFECT RATE LOWER THAN 1%?

IS YOUR LATE SHIPMENT RATE LOWER THAN 4%?

DO YOU RESPOND TO 90% OF CUSTOMER INQUIRIES IN 24 HOURS OR LESS?

    DO YOU LIKE DILDOS?

  3. Yea, it’s been down ALL DAY for the most part. It cracks me up how they destroy small businesses with the up tights in seller performance who are notorious for dropping the hammer on sellers at the first sign of any problems, but for them, it’s all good in the hood. Boycott?

  4. We’ve been experiencing problems with our listings on Amazon UK all week.

We were away for a few days last week and I reactivated our listings on Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday morning I noticed that none of them were showing as being active. I contacted Seller Support and they couldn’t see why they weren’t showing up and manually ‘forced’ a couple of our items which showed that there wasn’t a problem.

Over the past 3 days gradually the listings (we have 3500 SKU’s) are beginning to show, now about 75% are active. Seller support still can’t explain why!

    Anybody else with this issue?
