Today Amazon have launched Prime Same Day in Greater London and parts of Hertfordshire and Berkshire
Prime members in these areas can now receive free same-day delivery on one million items and Amazon will will expand Prime Same Day into a number of other areas of the UK in the coming months.
Order for same-day delivery by noon, on any day of the week and if you’re in the catchment area you can receive your item between 6pm and 10pm on that same evening. There is no minimum order value and the service is available to residential addresses within the M25 motorway, as well as AL, HP and SL postcodes. (Big “grr” to Amazon, don’t you realise I live in an RG post code?).
You can make Prime Same Day purchases on both desktop and mobile devices, simply look for the Prime Same Day logo and choose Free Same Day option at checkout. You can also tick the new Prime Same Day check box located in the filter menu while browsing or after performing a search
Prime Same Day is made available through Amazon Logistics – independent local, regional and national delivery companies across the UK who deliver Amazon parcels to customers seven days a week. Same-day delivery is also available for non-Prime customers at a cost of £9.99 per order.

it sometimes seems that if you live elsewhere the government and big corps dont care!
once had a courier say to me, oh ive just come back from doing months in london, everyones doing locker / shop pickups now, its harder work up north!
