Etsy sellers still experiencing payment problems

No primary category set

As we reported previously, Etsy is experiencing problems processing buyer payments and disbursing the cash to sellers. It had looked like the worst was over but the problems do seem to be persisting. You can read a recent announcement from Etsy on the ongoing problems.

As Stephaine Grodin of Etsy says: “We’ve been working closely with our processor, Worldpay, to investigate and resolve the issue, and have made some significant changes. Last week, we instituted a few new processes to improve the resiliency of our platform, and since then new payments have been processing without delays. However, Worldpay has still not fully resolved the technical issue they are experiencing and, as a result, some new residual issues have arisen affecting some members of our community.”

We’ve commended Etsy for their openess and communication but it’s still extremely worrying that there are still problems on what is a serious player in the ecommerce game. Hopefully it will be sorted soonest.

Are you an Etsy seller who has been affected by these problems?
