123 Reg, one of the UK’s most popular Internet Registrars was hit by a denial of service attack this morning leaving it’s website unreachable and for many customers no access to emails.
It would appear that the issue started early in the morning and took until lunch time for 123 Reg to come fully back online for all users.
The DDoS is currently contained and services should now be restored. We will continue to monitor and thank you all for your understanding.

This is the second DDOS attack to hit a DNS service in the space of a week. Dyn DNS was offline for several hours earlier this month taking some of the biggest names on the Internet down including PayPal.
Hopefully if you were affected by this morning’s outage at 123 Reg you’re back online now.
