One of the keynotes I’m most looking forward to at ChannelAdvisor Catalyst Europe 2017 will be delivered by Mary Portas.
Few retailers will not have heard of Mary, The Portas Review which attracted wide attention when published in 2011. More recently in the last few days she’s been vocal about the upcoming Business Rate evaluations which will see many high street retailers facing steep rises in the amount they pay. Up to a third of independent retailers could be driven out of business by punitive Rate rises according to Mary.

With the upheaval in the high street, it’s going to be interesting to hear Mary’s views which will explore the digital revolution and changing consumer behaviours. Mary will examine how different retail sectors are responding to the latest industry trends and how brands and retailers of all shapes and sizes can best stand out.
