eBay have a new boss in Europe and it’s an experienced insider. Jay Lee has previously been SVP of APAC for eBay and as well as leading the EMEA business Jay will also be responsible for global CBTCross Border Trade.
Jay has been heading up eBay’s expansion across multiple markets from Korea to Australia, China to India, Japan to Israel, Indonesia to Thailand and more. Asia Pacific is eBay’s fastest growing region, and under Jay’s leadership, the region’s revenues have grown five times over.
Jay has been with eBay since 2002 and so is one of the most experienced of the leadership team (eBay CEO Devin Wenig didn’t join eBay until 2011). One of the things I’ve often rued about eBay is their relatively short corporate memory, but Jay brings this to the table and has worked for eBay longer than I’ve been writing Tamebay!
The video below is a couple of years old, but still serves as in introduction to Jay.
