There’s another Etsy sale event coming for merchants and the aim is to celebrate Etsy’s 13th Birthday.
You can all the information on the relevant page here and here is information about how to create an Etsy sale item by discounting a listing that might qualify. But as they say of the event:
Etsy’s turning 13, and we’re kicking off a special sales event on 18 June to celebrate. Participate in the birthday sales event by discounting one or more of your items by at least 10%. Your discounting can also include a minimum order value or free shipping to be part of the event. We’ll be promoting the sales event to shoppers through marketing emails, site banners, social media, press coverage, and Etsy’s homepage.

All you need to do is create at least one Etsy sale item by discounting your listings between 10% and 70% during that will last from the 18th until the 22nd of June. They say that they will be creating a unique shopping section on the marketplace that will encourage shoppers to discover all the special on-sale items by category. Any item that meets the criteria for the sales event also could be featured in the promotional marketing they put out at the time.
It looks like the last sales event that Etsy held was successful in terms of driving sales and interest in the marketplace and they will be repeating it. It’s another example of an innovation that has been introduced since the turnaround that began in 2018 with the change of management at Etsy.
