DHL Supply Chain, part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, has acquired Suppla Group, which is a company that specialises in providing logistics services in Colombia. Suppla is a well-known as a reliable and established provider with local expertise and longstanding customer relationships.
DHL notes that Suppla has a solid local presence in five regions and coverage across 25 cities in Colombia, about 500,000 square metres of storage capacity and around 4,500 employees. This experience in local logistics market is enabling DHL Supply Chain to significantly improve its footprint in Colombia and then can enable expansion into the wider Latin American region. DHL Supply Chain’s already has concerns in Colombia including Service Logistics operations and a warehouse hub in the capital Bogota.
The expansion into the developing Andean region in South America, specifically in Colombia, is key to achieve our Strategy 2020 targets and allows us to unlock further growth potential.
