Returns Solution ZigZag Global, have hired Matthew Dean as Sales Director. I caught up with Matthew, who many of you will know from his time bringing eSellerPro (now Volo Commerce) to market, as he joins the team at ZigZag.
What motivated you to join ZigZag?
That’s easy, our CEO, Al Gerrie. Al and I go back over 10 years as he was an early adopter of the eSellerPro platform and he went on to be a customer three times but Al was much more than a customer as his industry knowledge and insight became part of the roadmap development, as he was also a founder member of the customer council. It is great to see Al apply that vision to his own business once again and a privilege to be asked to assist the company as it goes to market at scale. It also helps that the vision is a good one and the platform we have is solving some real pain for retailers of all sizes – returns.
On that note tell our readers what ZigZag can do to help manage returns?
ZigZag is a technology platform that manages global returns for retailers. We start by focusing on the customer, giving them an enhanced journey through a central portal on the retailers website. This facilitates the consumers return in under one minute but also allows them to select a convenient tracked service for their return which can even be paperless in many markets.
Whether the retailer is funding a free return or the consumer pays, ZigZag will typically reduce the cost of the return by up to 60% compared standard postal rates at the post office.
There are many other benefits, such as visibility of the incoming returns, the ability to track the return and update the consumer throughout, speed of stock returning to sale, speed of refund to consumer, significant reduction in inbound customer service calls etc but the main objective is to automate and standardise returns globally and drive down cost.
