Last week on the summer solstice, the Sixth annual Ecommerce Cup saw 40 teams compete with OFX being crowned the champions for 2018, beating last year’s champions Just Eat in the final.
A mention has to be made of ChannelAdvisor who ended up playing colleague vs colleague as they entered two teams in a hard fought battle for the 2018 Ecommerce Shield. ChannelAdvisor 2 won bragging rights by beating ChannelAdvisor 1 by just one goal.
We’d like to thank the event sponsors – UKAuctioneers and JH and many a pint was sunk in the bar by thirsty players on their tab after the presentation ceremony took place. As always the guys at PlayFootball were superb keeping the tournament running on track and the refs keeping players in check when things got a little competitive.
We’ll be back in 2019 and Just Eat have already vowed to regain the trophy and the top spot in ecommerce footballing history and doubtless OFX will be back keen to defend their triumph from this year.
