eBay are running a promotion for Private Sellers offering the opportunity to try Printerless Shipping for Just £1. The promotion is powered by Hermes Parcelshop and their pay and print in store experience.
The eBay offer is to sell an item and ship through eBay Delivery powered by Shutl (drop off at Hermes Parcelshop) with the first purchase of printerless shipping offered at a cost just £1 for small and medium packages up to 2kg.
This is an invitation only opt in promotion, and is likely to go to eBay users who haven’t sold before or who have only sold occasional. In today’s world where many consumers live on their mobiles, there are plenty of people who don’t even possess a printer and so introducing them to a print in store experience makes sense.
It’s well known that eBay buyers who also sell tend to spend more on the site than buyers who have never sold anything. Encouraging casual eBay users to sell makes a lot of sense, as does broadcasting how easy it is to ship items with printerless shipping for those who don’t have ready access to a printer.
If you are invited to take part in the printerless shipping promotion you’ll need to select ‘Shutl 2-3 day’ delivery in the Postage section when you create your listing. When it’s time to ship your item select the ‘Shutl 2-3 day via Hermes’ and ‘Print in-store’ options.
