Pinterest is launching shoppable ads in France as the first non-English speaking country to offer Pinterest’s advertising program.
Over the past few months, Pinterest has worked closely with select early partners in France such as Guerlain, Tiptoe, Picard, Louis Vuitton, and Air France to help them grow their business using Pinterest. These French businesses have seen promising first results using ads to drive brand awareness and sales objectives.
Guerlain chose to use both Promoted Pins and Videos for the launch of the perfume Black Perfecto in order to reach a different audience from other platforms and target consumers in active consideration.
“Pinterest is 100% aligned with our branding objectives. The platform combines a powerful reach, targeting, context, in an highly-qualitative environment ensuring brand safety. Pinterest is a very relevant media, but also complementary with the others digital platforms on which we advertise.”
– Jérôme Grange, Head of media, Guerlain
On Pinterest, businesses have access to multiple type of ads formats and to numerous targeting options to reach new customers with the right content while they are discovering ideas and planning for upcoming projects. Pinterest has structured its offering for many types of advertisers with varying objectives.
“We believe our ads program brings a special value in advertising by enabling brands to reach people who are actively considering what to do or buy next but haven’t decided who to buy from. It is this intent, which is early in the buying process that is different than any other platform. Now, all businesses can use Promoted Pins to reach people in France while they’re discovering relevant, useful ideas on Pinterest.”
– Adrien Boyer, France Country Manager at Pinterest
With the launch in France, Pinterest ads are now available in seven countries including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, and New Zealand.
