We’ve covered off the main changes in the eBay UK Spring Seller Release and the US seller release but there are a couple of other announcements worth taking note of, in particular eBay Fee Changes, if you list directly onto eBay’s other EU marketplaces.
EU Final Value Fee changes
In Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, German and Austria final value fees will change – if you sell on these sites you’ll want to be aware of the new fees.
From the 1st of April, the Final value fees for the Electronics categories will be changed to *5% and in the other categories it will be **8.7%. eBay are removing final value fee caps in those categories. For the Vehicles categories, the Final value fee will be a flat rate of ***€20. These Final value fees for Business sellers are NET, VAT excluded.

German final value eBay Fee Changes
Final Value Fees
Final Value fees are changing across the board in Germany rising from 8.5% to 9% from the 1st of April. The 4% fines will also kick in from the 1st of April for under-performing sellers
- Final value fee for Germany sellers rated “Top Rated” and “Above Average” in general rise to 9%
- Final value fee for Germany sellers rated “Below Standard” rise to 13%
Subtitle eBay Fee Changes
The subtitle fees are rising in Germany
- On fixed price listings from €1.10 to €1.50
- On auctions from €0.50 to €1.50
Gallery Plus eBay Fee Changes
The German fee for Gallery Plus will now apply to the following categories
- Garden & Terrace (# 159912)
- Household appliances (# 20710)
- Handyman (# 3187)
- Clothing & Accessories (# 11450)
- Furniture & Living (# 11700)
The fee is now also for these categories €2.75 for fixed price offers and €1.00 for auctions.
German Shops and eBay Plus fee changes
Also changing in Germany are fees for shops and the removal of discounts for items shipped under the eBay Plus program. You can read the full German fee changes here.
German VAT
eBay remind sellers that the latest changes to German VAT law require marketplaces to take additional measures to verify that sellers are compliant with the local law. UK based sellers will have until the 1st of October 2019 to upload their German VAT certificate.
