Amazon have launched Amazon advertising scheme in Australia for merchants and brands. The programme invites all businesses to advertise through the scheme as it doesn’t require them to trade on Amazon.
Amazon advertising is offering businesses to boost their products visibility through a three-pronged approach. Here are the three elements it provides:
-
Display Ads
Companies can showcase their brand or products on websites, apps, and devices, on and off Amazon.
-
Video Ads
Brands or merchants can combine sight, sound, and motion in ads on Amazon sites and across the web.
-
Amazon DSP
This tool provides advanced options for buying ad placements both on and off Amazon.
Amazon say that businesses don’t have to sell their products on the marketplace to buy display ads, customers can be taken to a product page, a store, a custom landing page or an external website. They promise to businesses is that they can reach shoppers across both Amazon-owned sites and apps, and leading publishers’ sites via direct inventory from Amazon Publisher Services and third-party exchanges.
Amazon advertising results saw 20% increase to $72.4bn in fourth quarter 2018. Amazon’s Q1 2019 guidance predicts revenue expected to be between $56bn and $60bn, or to grow between 10% and 18% compared with first quarter 2018. Amazon’s move to get more brands and merchants on board will most likely add a significant boost to the growth of these figures.
