eBay Canada have joined the rest of the eBay world and moved to Good ’til Cancelled format for all fixed price listings on the country site. The effective date was the 1st of July and, once your current fixed price listings on eBay Canada expire, Good ’til Cancelled will be the only available format.
The change will affect all sellers listing on eBay Canada on both the French Language and English language versions of the site, regardless of whether you are based in Canada or listing on eBay Canada from overseas. Good ‘Til Cancelled listings renew automatically every month until all of the items sell, you end the listing, or in certain circumstances when eBay ends your listing.
Previously, Good ‘Til Cancelled listings automatically renewed every 30 days. Also starting on the 1st of July, 2019, eBay Good ‘Til Cancelled will renew once per calendar month. eBay has made this change to avoid double billing sellers when a listing renews twice in a month (a rare occurrence but can happen if a listing renews on the 1st and again on the 31st of a month – there are four 31 day months each year).
“As announced in our 2019 Spring Seller Update, the listing duration for all new fixed price listings on eBay Canada is now Good ‘Til Cancelled. As of July 1, 2019, all Good ‘Til Cancelled listings on eBay renew automatically every month (previously every 30 days) unless your item sells before that timeframe.”
