Zalando have announced the launch of their new outlet store in Stuttgart, Germany. The seventh outlet store will serve as an extension of Zalando’s network of physical stores where customers can feel and touch products that once were available online. This means that Zalando merchants will be able to offer their customers the ability to view products in-situ and purchase discounted goods.
Zalando say that the demand for outlets will bring the launch of two more physical stores in 2021. These locations will include Bayerstrasse 25, Munich and Pfannenschmiedgasse, Nuremberg. The stores will open in addition to the previously announced locations of Hanover, Mannheim, Ulm and Constance, increasing the number of Zalando outlets to a total of 13.
Zalando say that the Stuttgart outlet boats a range of 15,000 products from 500 different brands reduced by up to 70%. The store features fashion merchandise from previous seasons or those with minor defects.
The new outlet is the first to extend over three floors, with the men’s and women’s departments, as well as the women’s shoe section, presented on their own floors for the first time. It offers wide walkways, free WiFi and two lounge areas with sockets so that customers can recharge their mobile phones while shopping.
