Joining Amazon Handmade, creating your shop, and listing products has been free up until now. The only fees to pay were when you make a sale which incurs a 12% referral fee. Now Amazon have announced that the waiver of the monthly professional selling fee for Handmade artisans will continue to be waived indefinitely. It means that sellers enrolled in Amazon Handmade, worldwide, will not have to pay the monthly fee for the foreseeable future.

Amazon Handmade fees
Amazon’s normal fees are £25 per month for the Professional Selling plan which Handmade artisans will need to sign up for and referral fees for sales are normally 15%. The £25 per month will now be waived indefinitely and there is a referral fee reduction from 15% to 12% which applies until the 31st of December 2019.
This sends a strong signal that Amazon want to recruit sellers from other sites such as Etsy and eBay, and other selling venues.
