eBay are running another raffle as part of #PlayersTogether. The Shirts for Change raffle could leave you winning a signed Premier League shirt. This time participants can win a match worn Black Lives Matter football shirt whilst supporting the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. The Shirts for Change raffle enables you to buy a £5 ticket by selecting your favourite club and if you win you’ll receive a shirt selected at random from the participating players of that club.
“I am proud to launch the ‘Shirts for Change’ raffle with #PlayersTogether to raise vital funds for the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Foundation, a charity which stands for equal opportunity for all, despite race or background. Put simply, we do not stand for racism on the pitch, in society or anywhere else it rears its ugly head.”
– Troy Deeny, Player, Watford
The Shirts for Change raffle is another part of the #PlayersTogether initiative – a collective project launched by Premier League players to help generate funds for current and ongoing issues. We initially saw the initiative raising funds for our dear NHS when it was under pressure from the Coronavirus. Now funds are being raised by the teams for an influential charity highlighting the importance of equality and black lives.
It is interesting to see eBay taking a stand against real world problems by bringing attention to topics that need it. Although eBays policy against raffles, draws and sweepstakes means that people shouldn’t be tempted to create their own, It shows they are not afraid to lift their own policies to raise money and build education on things that could change the world for the better.
If you would like to support the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Foundation, and won’t object to winning a signed shirt from your favourite team if you win the draw, then you have until the 29th of June to purchase one or more £5 entries.
