Workspace marketplace helps businesses hire and rent extra capacity

A first-of-it’s-kind Workspace marketplace known as Occupyd is helping businesses monetize their professional spaces by renting them out to other businesses who could use the extra capacity at times when they would otherwise be empty.

“A large number of organisations have been affected by the ongoing pandemic, which has had a huge impact on their bottom line. We’re driven to make life a little easier by facilitating relationships between businesses on the hunt for workspace, and those that have extra capacity, so they can help each other out and continue to grow,”

According to reports, the company is said to be helping businesses continue to grow by taking advantage of unused space that others could use to provide income. As an example, if a kitchen closes for the day at 3pm they can rent the space out to a business or entrepreneur who runs evening catering. This new marketplace truly connects businesses by letting them set their own rules, terms, contracts and deposits whilst receiving ongoing support from the platform.

“We’re driven to make life a little easier by facilitating relationships between businesses on the hunt for workspace, and those that have extra capacity, so they can help each other out and continue to grow.

“We talk about the ‘hidden market’ – something which is already there, but people are unaware of. Monetising after-hours capacity, which would otherwise be empty, or renting out supplementary workspace could be a goldmine for some companies,” he added. “Many of us are sitting on something valuable – we just don’t know it.”
