OnBuy Black Friday sale biggest yet – £50 million savings

No primary category set

The OnBuy Black Friday sale will be the biggest so far this year with over £50 million in prices dropped across the site. Don’t worry about looking for products included in the sale though, OnBuy has slashed the price of everything so if you want to buy you are going to get a Black Friday discount!

OnBuy has discounted more than £50 million in prices in this exclusive one-day Black Friday sale. They are offering customers millions of products that come from thousands of independent businesses and for today only, everything is discounted so buyers can enjoy guaranteed savings of up to 75%. If you are an OnBuy seller don’t worry – you’re not paying for the OnBuy Black Friday sale discounts as the savings offered to buyers come straight out of OnBuy’s pocket! You’ll still achieve the price you listed at.

Shoppers can save on products from their favourite brands across thousands of categories, from beauty, home and garden essentials to tech, toys and baby supplies. OnBuy is a true marketplace, not a retailer, so every order placed supports the small, medium and large businesses that sell with OnBuy. The exclusive discounts across the website will be live for 24 hours only, from now at a minute past midnight through to 23.59 on Friday the 27th of November.

When I spoke to Cas Paton, CEO and founder on OnBuy, earlier today, he was in a buoyant mood. Having made over a £1 million in sales for sellers last year, he’s predicting that the 2020 OnBuy Black Friday sale will smash all previous records for the marketplace.

“For us, Black Friday is another chance to show our sellers how committed we are to seeing them succeed. We’ve seen a record number of sellers join us this year, with our seller base increasing by 10% every month, so we wanted to pull out all the stops this Black Friday to make it their best yet.

We know other marketplaces only push their sellers to drop prices – at OnBuy, we feel that it’s our duty to partake and drive down costs for consumers, allowing our retailers to have even stronger pricing for this special sales day. We’ve discounted every single product on our marketplace by waiving a portion of our selling fees and taking this amount off the product price, so buyers can save on everything at no extra cost to the independent sellers we support.

Not only that, but we’ve bolstered our massive price drop with a huge Black Friday TV campaign on ITV and YouTube as well as a fleet of billboards and out of home media across the UK to increase consumer awareness and drive even more sales for our sellers.

In doing this, we’re not only giving our sellers the opportunity to have the best possible Black Friday at no additional cost, but we’ve created the biggest discount day seen in retail this year. We’ve seen plenty of incredible offers from our sellers already, so with our discounts applied, buyers can enjoy truly fantastic savings.

We believe in doing things differently at OnBuy, and our sale underpins our commitment to providing a fairer, more transparent and ethical marketplace for buyers and sellers. We predict this will be the biggest sales day on OnBuy ever. We made over £1 million in sales solely for our sellers last year – this year, we’ll smash that record!”

  1. This was great to see today. Had sales today through onbuy and seller fees were reduced to accommodate the discount

  2. It’s refreshing to see.

We had several calls telling us about what onBuy are doing and the ad campaigns.
Their fee structure is great and I hope they go from strength to strength.

We have certainly had sales from their latest innovative price slash and look forward to more.

I must say thanks to Chris ( Tamebay ).

Ordinarily, I would never have even looked at OnBuy, but having looked at it on Tamebay and seen how easy it was ( for me ) to list 5000+ products and then connect to my website for stock control with a free module, it was a no brainer.

I think the disenchanted ebay and amazon sellers will certainly be lapping it up.
