An Etsy seller from Leicester went viral on TikTok after she shared an embarrassing blunder with one of her items. According to charlotte’s TikTok post, an amused customer left a polite review explaining that the butt hole bear design on her product had made her daughter cry.
Charlotte sells bespoke laser engraved wooden signs that can be found at her Etsy store BohemianForestDesign, the wood slices have natural knots in the centre which is where the ‘butt hole’ in question came from. The five star review reads:
“Loved my Mother’s Day present, but my daughter was vey upset about what we are now affectionately calling”butt hole bear” It makes me laugh, but it made her cry ? Maybe consider tweaking the design so the central knot becomes a nose instead of….well, you know what! X”
Thankfully the customer sounded very understanding, still gave the product a five star review and Charlottes business gained much deserved recognition. After being unable to unsee it she decided to take the customer’s advice and tweak the design, but customers are still able to request the Butt hole bear if they wish.
Have you had any embarrassing blunders as a seller? If so, feel free to get them off your chest, we’d love to hear all about them!
