Amazon:

DIY Mini Landscape Light 3+

Chemical and choking

The product presents a high risk of internal injuries as the switch has a compartment with three button cell batteries that can be easily accessible without the aid of a tool. The button cell batteries may be placed in the mouth and swallowed, presenting a choking hazard for young children and causing damage to the gastrointestinal tract. The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

FXL Power – Laptop Charger, AC Adapter-65 W
Batch No: X0018UPISD
SKU: FX00031-UK

Risk:
Burns

The product presents a serious risk of burns as the charger has a counterfeit plug with an insufficient fuse. The fuse has no granular filler and as such cannot function following a fault with the product. The charger may therefore explode and catch fire, posing a burn hazard to users. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

eBay

Risk:
Electric shock and electrocution

The product poses a serious risk of electric shock as when tested the dimensions of the pins on the plug supplied were incorrect. The plug was unable to fit into a plug test gauge properly due to the plug pins being misaligned. The pins on this adapter’s plug were not compatible with socket outlets conforming to BS1363. There was no facility for a fuse in the plug. The plug was missing required markings such as approval and the approval body. This product does not comply with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
