Most people in the UK can hardly have missed the shocking weather over the past few days. With storm Dudley & Eunice causing widespread damage, the UK is now experiencing Storm Franklin and whilst conditions aren’t quite as bad as over the weekend there are still severer weather warnings in place.
Red and Amber warnings were issued for the severe weather conditions caused by Storm Eunice and Storm Dudley and eBay are aware that these conditions caused disruptions across the UK.
eBay have been closely monitoring the situation and over the weekend extended buyer-facing estimated delivery dates to help manage buyers’ expectations.
If you are located in the impacted areas, and find yourself unable to dispatch your orders, eBay recommend that you communicate with your buyers and inform them of the situation.
Meanwhile, remember to upload tracking numbers to your transactions to allow your buyers to see the most updated information about the items’ location. By doing this you’ll also be better protected in the event of carrier delays or if a buyer opens an Item not received case.
Then, if your garden fence looks anything like mine, it’s time to hope your neighbours are at the front of the queue for new fencing as there’s going to be high demand as home owners and Housing Associations start to repair the damage. If you’re a supplied of fencing, roofing and associated goods you can expect this week to be a bumper week for sales!
