Short answer: No. Selling Elden Ring runes on eBay is not allowed.
Elden Ring, a newly released but hugely popular video game is causing quite a fuss. Although the game was only released a couple of weeks back, you’ll already find in-game currency on the eBay marketplace… but is it allowed?
eBay sellers are allowed to list and sell digital items on the marketplace, what isn’t allowed however, is digital items that cause intellectual property infringement.
In Elden Rings Terms of Service it states the following:
No Player shall be entitled to assign to, transfer to, sell to or buy from another, change the name to another’s name of, or provide another as pledge or other security with, any of his/her rights held as a Player, and items, characters and saved data within the game related to the Software which are obtained in the Services (including so-called “real money trading”).

This means that selling Elden Ring runes on eBay is breaking their terms of service and creating an intellectual property infringement. For this reason anyone selling the in-game currency shouldn’t be surprised if they end up with penalties.
Activity that doesn’t follow eBay policy could result in a range of actions including for example: administratively ending or cancelling listings, hiding or demoting all listings from search results, lowering seller rating, buying or selling restrictions, and account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to listings or accounts on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.
