eBay have reduced fees in the Home Furniture & DIY category for low cost items. The fixed fee per order for sales of £10 or less in the Home Furniture & DIY category on eBay UK will be reduced to just 10p, in response to your feedback that low ASP items can be a particular challenge.
For low ASP Home Furniture & DIY inventory, the fixed charge will be reduced from 30p to 10p per order for a total sales price of £10 or less. The change will apply to new listings only, listed from the 19th of April 2022 and there’s no limit to the number of listings or orders eligible.
The fee change applies to Business Sellers with a registered address in the UK. Initially, the standard final value fees (i.e. 30p per order level in addition to a variable percentages) will apply. The discounted final value fee will be credited to your account within 28 days of the end of each calendar month for the difference between the initially charged amount and the new 10p fee.
Items that have been manually relisted or automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function from 19 April 2022 are eligible. However, items that were listed using the Good ‘Till Cancelled function prior to 19 April 2022 are ineligible for the reduced order fees. There may be an argument for cancelling these listing and relaunching to take advantage of the promotion.
It’s also worth nothing that for orders containing a mix of both eligible and ineligible items, the reduced order level fee will not apply. As it’s a 30p fixed charge per order (not per item) this seems eminently fair – the 10p fee is intended to take the sting out of fees for low value orders and if you’ve higher ASP products in the order than the 30p is less punitive as a percentage.
