Today we spoke to Mark Monte-Colombo, Head of Refurb, Electronics & Media at eBay, to discuss the increased demand for refurbished tech, reducing e-waste, and eBay’s role in supporting a circular economy.
eBay have for 30 years been known for great prices and in part that has always included used and refurbished goods, but today the Refurbished on eBay programme and in particular the ‘Certified – Refurbished’ designator gives a guarantee of quality and service from sellers.
If you want to sell under the Refurbished on eBay programme, which allows pre-qualified eBay sellers exclusive use of up to 4 item conditions (Certified – Refurbished, Excellent – Refurbished, Very Good – Refurbished, and Good – Refurbished), you need to apply, qualify and meet a list of requirements both of which you will find on the Refurbished on eBay programme page.
