Hampers.com – Scaling from 400 to 10k orders at peak

Category: Brands

I’m delighted to have sat down with Hannah Lia, Operations Director at Hampers.com, to discuss their approach to sustainability and how they scale up operations for peak.

Hampers.com, Hannah tells us, effectively run two different businesses – one runs from January to September covering about a third of their £12m turnover and the second ramps up significantly from October to December when two thirds of the annual sales occur.

Operating sustainably is at the heart of Hampers.com, who are in the process of their B-Corp accreditation, but this leans into the company values of quality locally produced produce for their Hampers – they source from UK suppliers which automatically reduces transportation emissions.

And talking of transport – routinely running throughout 9 months of the year at around 400 shipments a day, Hampers.com scale up dramatically to around 10,000 orders a day by December so logistics is key.
