Update to Amazon’s IOSS & VAT Numbers

As of the 1st of August 2024, Selling on Amazon, Fulfillment by Amazon, and all other services previously supplied by Amazon Services Europe S.à r.l. (“ASE”) will be supplied by Amazon EU S.à r.l. (“AEU”). As a consequence of this adjustment, the Amazon’s Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) numbers that you might be using when shipping goods to customers in the EU from a non-EU location, have changed.

If you are shipping products to customers in the EU from a non-EU location, you now need to make sure that these updated IOSS numbers are provided to your logistics partner for customs purposes, usually your postal operator or express carrier.

Your customs broker is responsible for presenting this information to EU Customs in order for these parcels to be exempted from import VAT collection from your customer. If this information is not provided correctly, your customer may be required to pay additional taxes to receive their order. If your current logistics partner is unable to receive this data, we recommend that you use an alternative logistic partner to ensure the right customer experience.

If you are also selling goods to customers in the countries listed below, please make sure your logistics partner has these updated VAT numbers and start using them in future transactions.

All agreements, policies, terms and conditions that previously referred to ASE, including Amazon Payments agreements, will now refer to AEU. Please consider any future reference to ASE as a reference to AEU.
