MediaMarkt saw a doubling of their Marketplace GMV in FY 2023/24, and since the launch of Italy and the Netherlands are now live in five countries, being already present in Austria and Spain as well as their home country Germany. But expansion hasn’t stopped with plans to roll out the MediaMarkt marketplace in Belgium, Poland and Türkiye.
Marketplace have sales reached €277m in the 2023/24 year and MediaMarkt are expected to hit €750 in sales in the 2025-2026 fiscal year
The MediaMarkt marketplace currently boasts around 2m SKUs on offer from some 1,600 vendors. Plans in addition to adding new country sites, are for the MediaMarkt marketplace to expand into new product categories, which is expected to attract new buyers and sellers.

Retail Media
MediaMarkt also reports substantial progress in their Retail Media offering with strong demand by industry partners. They say that the roll out of Retail Media in all countries nearly completed, with the growth phase boosted by international deal with Publicis.
Upcoming new Retail Media products in their 2024/25 growth phase include Audience Extension, Digital Out of Home, and Omnichannel Reporting, with results shooting up from €18min their FY 2022/23, to €48m in the 2023/24 financial year.
