Merseyrail and Amazon are teaming up to bring Amazon lockers to commuters at four stations.

Passengers travelling through Liverpool Central, Liverpool South Parkway, Moorfields and Southport will be able to pick up purchases using their unique codes 24 hours a day.

Merseyrail spokesman Kaj Mook said: “We are constantly trying to enhance the passenger experience – ensuring that customers get the most out of the station environment and ensuring that it’s working for them. These collection points illustrate our commitment to evolving and adapting, ensuring that our network is both relevant and responsive to passenger needs.”

Amazon UK MD Christopher North said: “Amazon lockers at travel terminals are amongst the most popular so it made perfect sense to us to install them at a Merseyrail stations.”

Amazon lockers are increasingly popular and it’s good to see the network opening up to Liverpudlians and other locales outside of London.
