RIP PowerSeller Logo

No primary category set

psIconIt was only ever a small logo, but the PowerSeller icon due to be retired from all buyer facing pages on 1st October has started disappearing already.

Currently it has gone from the “Seller info” section of eBay item pages so buyers will no longer be able to distinguish PowerSellers from casual sellers. The only differentiators will now be the Top-rated seller logo.

If you have used the PowerSeller logo in the past you can continue to do so while you remain in the PowerSeller program. The official guidelines are:

“Registered PowerSellers using the PowerSellers logo in their eBay listings, About Me or Shop pages or on their primary website outside eBay can continue to do so. However, if you would like to continue using the PowerSeller logo in your listings or the other places mentioned above, you must be a current registered PowerSeller. Any use of the PowerSeller logo must continue to link to the PowerSeller Programme page.”

Is it a good thing that the PowerSeller logo is going? Will you miss it? Was it a tarnished badge or was it still something to aspire to that gave buyers confidence in your service and listings?
