I can’t remember if Britain is “A nation of cat lovers” or “A nation of dog lovers”, but I do know millions of people across the country adore their pets and treat them as one of the family. Equally many animal lovers support various charities dedicated to rescuing, protecting and caring for animals in need both in the UK and around the world.
For the second half of April eBay for Charity have set up a dedicated microsite to encourage animal lovers to support their favourite animal charities. It will feature all items listed in support of an animal charity and highlight those sellers with the largest number of listings up at any one time. Sellers can donate between 10% and 100% of an items selling price, and buyers can search for auctions to bid on which support their chosen charity.
Sellers often ask how to get more traffic to their eBay listings, and making a donation to charity can attract buyers that may not normally find your listings. Sellers shouldn’t be thinking about whether or not to use eBay for Charity, the only question should be “Which charity do I want to support?” If you’ve not used eBay for Charity before I’d highly recommend experimenting and there’s no better time than when eBay will be promoting charity listings to your buyers!
