Buyers eye: Best offer auto accept

No primary category set

buyer's eyeIf there’s one thing I’ve come to like in the last twenty four hours it’s seeing Best Offers automatically accepted and sitting there in my sold items.

Checking the transaction history and seeing the message “You automatically accepted” when I was nowhere near my computer is such a great feeling.

This morning I spoke to a buyer who had a Best Offer of mine automatically accepted and he was full of praise for how easy it made the transaction. I couldn’t wait try it myself so many thanks to Jodie of cherry*tree*lane for adding Best Offer Auto Accept to one of her listings so that I could test it.

And the verdict is that it’s a great user experience. You enter your Best Offer and if it’s accepted you are instantly informed that you’ve won the item, told how much you saved from the original price, and get links to pay now or continue shopping with that seller.

Best Offer Accepted

The speed of the transaction is fantastic, no more waiting and wondering if the seller will accept your offer, no more logging in and finding it’s still pending. Just a simple “Your Best Offer was accepted”, click to pay and the transaction is complete.

Best Offers really are the best thing since sliced bread 😀

  1. Hi Lynne, yes I’ve got it on TL. Mind you I have the Beta version and that always gets the newest features first.

My TL number is 6.2.100.25 (beta version) (check yours from the help – about menu

To upgrade to the Beta version use the tools – options – advanced options – program updates tab and sign up 🙂

  2. I’ve used TL2 Beta ever since…. well ever since I stopped using TL2 Alpha.

I have to say the Alpha was hard work, but the beta is a dream and I highly recommend anyone that wants the newest eBay features to use TL Beta. It really isn’t like a Beta, it actually works and I trust my entire business to it 🙂
