SM & SMP intermittently broken

No primary category set

eBay appears to be decidedly broken this morning. On the busiest day of the week sellers are getting “Input Error” when attempting to use Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro. Not a good start to the week when there’s a whole weekend’s worth of sales that need printing and despatching.

The good news is that PayPal and My eBay appear to be working so sellers will be able to get some work done 🙂

  1. Is Monday SNAFU the new Friday SNAFU??

I blame the “credit crunch”. It’s being blamed for evry other current ill in the world, so why not this as well…?!

  2. There is going to be a permanent “input error” soon because I am going to headbutt the screen if they don’t get this sorted.

  3. Yeah, I noticed this this morning, couldn’t check anything…. was a bit of a pain but luckily for me I haven’t got a lot listed at the moment but how very annoying!

  4. Wish to add my experience to this topic.Equally annoyed of course-but more annoying is the seemingly indifference of Ebay.so far 4 complaints-some repeats-not one answer so far. I have found major glitches pretaining to what I have sold and also feedback-both are literally suffled around and thus a major frustration to check and be aware of required action.Date order now is a joke. Another is the absurd Ebay-PP decision to avoid letting you know that you have received a payment. This has to be the decision of a madman-it is a critical need when you have a multi listing-I missed a payment-thus did not send out an sold/paid for item-the shuffle problem simply caused this problem.Luckily I had an understanding buyer and was able to apologise and send-but this could have rebounded badly given a 100% feedback-and it is ALL down to Ebay UK inefficientcy and mad house decisions. I can’t wait to have my own web site now but would like to ask for helpful comment please.
The 100% feedback and almost over 3000 is a PR major plus (Ebay do not know what PR stands for in my view) I want objectively to USE Ebay listings as a door to my web site(I know it is easy in reverse) Can anyone advise if this Ebay to web site can be achieved technically as I suspect Ebay may delete any cross reference made on their site? Appreciate any help or useful comments please. thank you Dr J

  5. Dennis:

You are not allowed to link from your eBay listings to your website.
You may link from your about me page to your website, so long as you do not “promote” the site: i.e. you can say “click here to visit my website”, but you cannot say “everything on my website is cheaper than in my eBay shop”.
You may link from your listings to “one page that further describes the item you have for sale”, but that page may not be selling the item itself.

Here is some more information regarding the UK links policy:

I hope that will clarify things for you.
