It has to be said eBay have moved pretty fast to recompense sellers for the search outage of last weekend. Fee credits for affected listings are already starting to appear in sellers accounts.
Whilst the search outage was a best a pain and at worst may have put some buyers off revisiting eBay entirely it’s good to see eBay stumping up and doing their utmost to put things right.
eBay were caught on the back foot and it has to be said that their initial announcements failed to send out the message “We know we’ve stuffed up but don’t worry we’ll see you right”. Since then though their later communications have hit the right note and for sure the speed they’re refunding fees is faster than I’ve ever known, especially in comparison with previous cheap listing day credits.
