We’ve heard over the last week or so that some sellers are having problems with quantities on multi-variation listings being higher than they ought to be. There’s now an announcement from eBay UK that aff_link("https://www2.ebay.com/aw/uk/201001071340522.html","attributes this to a glitch with the bulk listing editor","mvlglitch","UK"); ?> which, when an item is edited, resets the quantities back to their original levels, ignoring any sales already made.
eBay are working on a fix for the problem. In the meantime, the advice for sellers is (1) don’t use the bulk listing editor on MVLs, and (2) be aware that any listings you’ve edited might now have errors in the quantities.
You don’t need to hear me rant again at how blithely eBay say “it’s a glitch”, and ignore the hours and hours of work it will take sellers to fix the problem. 🙁
