E Commerce Expo is an event held in Manchester and then again in London each year. The next event will be at the National Hall at Olympia on the 19th & 20th October 2010. TameBay reader Terry attended the Manchester event last month and shared with us the reasons why he thinks the event is a must for all ecommerce traders.
I went to E Commerce Expo at the Manchester United football ground, great day loads of great info from Google and ChanneAdvisor plus many more – they were all there giving talks and some inside info out too (ebay secrets!). There were loads of stands with some great companies offering their services or goods, well worth the day out.
Terry is a multi-channel trader and you can find him on eBay as stationery-shack or Amazon where he trades as Manchester Stationery
This event is a must for any online business, for my company it gave us the opportunity to meet many service providers. There were also companies offering products which can help grow your business, from specialist carrier companies to software providers. I was also able to meet and be able to talk and ask questions with Google employee, who gave an hour long talk about the company, how adwords works with some great tips so you can make the most of Google and all they have to offer.
We met a software provider “Sanderson.com” who offers a multi-channel back office solution which can tie your own website, Amazon, Ebay and your own high street retail outlet into one place, from warehouse management to customer service to sales to accounting plus much more. We are currently discussing their solutions “Elucid” or it’s little brother “Midas” to help move our company forward.
I would recommend this event to any business as there are lots of talks all through the day giving you free and good advice and these guys seriously know there stuff.
It’s free to attend and held twice a year, one event up north in Manchester and the other down south in London
It also gives you time out from the day to day running of your business and on a personal note gives you time to think about the future and meeting some of the people there truly gives you inspiration.
