Webinar: Christmas Tips to Sell More on Amazon

No primary category set

ChannelAdvisor have just released their same store sales data for October 2010. Same store sales is a comparison of ChannelAdvisor customers comparing the increase (or decrease) in business for clients that have used their service for at least 13 months. They exclude customers who have used their services for less than 12 months as they can’t compare year on year growth.

Amazon sales for ChannelAdvisor customers are up 54% and eBay business is up 5.5% year on year growth. This supports the universal advice that if you’re selling on eBay, and your product set fits, then you should start trading on Amazon.

For UK customers there are a couple of things to bear in mind. Firstly eBay’s total market share is about three times as large as Amazon, and also some of the massive growth could be attributed to the fact many sellers started out on eBay and added Amazon as a channel later in the growth of their business. Naturally if you already have an established eBay business and are new to Amazon then Amazon offers a faster growth potential.

Regardless of the background reasons, Amazon is growing at a rapid rate for total sales, is outperforming the growth rates of ecommerce, and is simply too big a marketplace to ignore.

ChannelAdvisor and Amazon are holding a joint webinar on Wednesday 17th November which kicks off at 2pm. The aim of the session will be to give you everything you need to know to sell more this Christmas on Amazon and will cover:

  1. My biggest problem with selling on Amazon is that hardly anyone leaves feedback, and as feedback helps sell products and helps establish you as a credible seller my sales are low on Amazon, I even keep my eBay and Amazon postage charges as close as possible and I don’t over inflate my prices on Amazon like nearly everyone else does.
