I’m always fascinated by the celebrities that sell on eBay. Some do anonymously but others are quite open about their eBay deals, and none more so than magician Paul Daniels.
for an impressive £1100.00. He explains that he found it in a box of old props saying “For a laugh I put one on, took the above photograph and made ’em laugh on Twitter”. When offers to buy it started to come in he turned to eBay to auction the wig on the classic 99p format.
48 bids later and £1100.00 in the bank he’s quids in, although he said in the questions he answered about the eBay listing that the money will go to charity.
Unlike many celebrities he and his wife Debbie Magee support charities out of the public limelight. Paul explained “Years ago I “adopted” 5 charities that I support, patron of, director of, donate to, and all that jazz. I don’t like those who are seen to do that stuff for their own aggrandisement and I prefer to do what I/we do quietly. This sale income will be donated.”
Paul is a regular seller on eBay with over 500 feedback so if you’re interested in owning memorabilia from one of the best known TV magicians. With his catch phrase “You’ll like this…not a lot, but you’ll like it” there just might be something that catches your eye.

“Top-man” for donating the proceeds. I had the pleasure of meeting the chap and his far superior half in a Bristol eBay uni a few years back, thoroughly nice chap.
Matt
we support a lot of charities too , were one on the millions of legitimate business that have a higher tax and vat rate than they do and dont receive discounted fees or services they do yet, have to compete with them in the market place
I don’t know why other auction sites don’t run such auctions.
Its great free publicity.
