TameBay reader Lee of Focus Gaming was up bright and early this morning and checking his inbox for today’s Daily Deals and spotted a bit of a pricing gaffe on the email.
The Dell aff_link("https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290618715880?item=290618715880","Laser Printer","","UK"); ?> up for grabs today was advertised at a recommended retail price of £155.00 with a Daily Deal super special discounted price of £190.99.
Thankfully if you check on eBay itself the deal is a bit better – the RRP displays as £155.00 but the offer price is now £59.99 – a reasonable saving of 61% off the retail price instead of £35.99 more than the printer retails for.
Oops! 😀

Howdy Chris, Lee,
I think this is the first time I’ve seen this type of mistake in a daily deal.
Oops, goes to show that the team managing them are on the ball thou!
Matt
Just another trumped up saving against an RRP which is a figure plucked out of thin air. A quick look on Google shopping shows more realistic real world prices. Having said that, it is about the cheapest price I can find, so not so bad.
I’m sure they stopped claimed saving against RRP’s in the mid 90s, has this changed or is everyone just turning a blind eye to it as everyone seems to be doing it?
There was some security software on DD some days back at £9.99 and selling well.
The same package could be had from other sellers on the site for around £2 less and not selling well.
Both included shipping.
Shows the power of the DD.
