First edition of the Sun on Sunday

Just seven months after the last ever edition of The News of the World the inevitable has happened and it will be replaced by the Sun on Sunday.

Up until now New Corporation has published the Sun 6 days a week, but from this Sunday the printing presses will be running 7 days a week as the Sun becomes available on Sundays as well.

It’s no real surprise, or rather the only surprise is that it’s taken 7 months for the dust to settle after the controversy over phone hacking that finished off the News of the World.

The question is will the first Sun on Sunday be worth listing on eBay? You can still buy the so a 50p investment this Sunday might pay small dividends, but you’re unlikely to make a fortune as the chances are everyone else will have the same idea.

  1. These are not Batman comics!

And secondly what are the church going to say about “Page 3” on a Sunday? 🙂

Only 1 day to go so all will soon be revealed!

  2. One point I would like to make is that I thought newspaper sales where in decline, so why launch a new title. And secondly, I think the Sun is damaged beyond repair (unless it was under new management)
