Tiger Commerce has been acquired by ekmPowershop and all users will be eventually migrated across to the ekmPowershop platform. However in the short term Tiger Commerce users have nothing to worry about bar agreeing to ekmPowershop terms and conditions.
Even when they are migrated to the ekmPowershop this will be a seamless process with an automated migration system to make the process as trouble free as possible.
ekmPowershop have helped over 25,000 businesses create their own easy to use online shop and currently powers 1 out of every 5 online shops in the UK making it the most popular ecommerce solution on the market today. They say that the latest acquisition gains them “several thousands of customers” and that every Tiger Commerce customer will get a one on one call with the migration team to help them get the most out of their online shop.
Many thanks to Tamebay reader Warren of alittlepeaceandkarma.com for pointing us towards this news 🙂

WOW, I didn’t see this one coming – good acquisition for EKM though (not sure how happy TC customers will be about it though?!)
I had to close my EKM shop, as the backend API is so restricted, my inventory system could not link in with it. I paid a months subs, and asked them to close the account, foolishly thinking it would close at the end of my payment period…but no. They closed in immediately and I lost all my customer data. They never advised me anything, and took a ‘pissed off’ attitude with me. They tools are ok, but I would recommend BigCommerce – far far superior product.
