I’m starting to hear more and more about Pinterest and the new Social Media picture sharing site appears to be catching on fast. I’ve just this evening spotted that both eBay and Amazon have added Pinterest sharing buttons on all product pages.
On eBay the Pinterest buttons are just about the seller information box next to the “Watch” links. On Amazon they’re below the “More Buying Choices” box. For both sites they’re alongside email, Twitter and Facebook sharing links. On both sites there’s no Google Plus sharing option and to be honest I’m not seeing a lot of traction for Google Plus anywhere on the web in comparison with Twitter, Facebook and now Pinterest.
The only thing that puzzles me is that neither Amazon nor eBay have added Pinterest sharing buttons on their UK sites. Is Pinterest something that’s caught on a lot faster in the US, or is it simply that the UK sites haven’t bothered to update their social media sharing as of yet?
Would you use Pinterest buttons if they were available on marketplaces in the UK or do you already use them on the US sites? Have you integrated Pinterest on your own website or do you plan to do so in the near future?

You need to blur that more. I was able to search in Google and the auto-suggest picked the right seller.
the only button that should be available on an ebay listing is a bid or buy button or pay button,
other adverts buttons and links do us no good
its buyers money that interests us ,not playing about with social media
It’s defo more an American thing – my website integrates it, and the hosting site is big commerce
John P, I love your purple boots – I just added them to my Pinterest board here: https://pinterest.com/lisajst/my-style/
I think it’s caught on bigger in the US because I can’t think it’s caught on anywhere else faster – I’ve never seen anything like it – it makes Facebook look like MySpace….
