Whilst I was browsing an eBay listing belonging to Tamebay reader “Whirly” earlier today I spotted that eBay have added some new social media sharing buttons. They’ve been moved up the page a bit and as well as bookmarking (aka adding to your eBay (“Watch List”) emailing, Tweeting on Twitter and sharing a link on Facebook you can now also Pin a listing on Pinterest.
eBay added Pinterest buttons on their US site back in April this year so it’s good to see them come to the UK. If you’re selling anything in the least bit photogenic you should definitely be pinning the items and creating boards on Pinterest to drive interest. Don’t just Pin your eBay items though – if you research prior to listing Pin the pages where you found valuations, images, descriptions, history, information about the artist or manufacturer. The more interesting your Pinterest Board the more interest there will be in your eBay listings.
