Royal Mail deliver good news for Prostate Cancer UK

No primary category set

The Royal Mail have selected Prostate Cancer as their charity of the year. More than 36,000 of their employees voted for the charity and they hope to raise more than £2 million over the next two years. Moya Greene, CEO of Royal Mail announced that the company would match the fund raising of our posties and for every penny they raise Royal Mail will donate another.

The money raised will help fund up to 50 specialist prostate cancer nurses helping around 44,000 more men. Owen Sharp, Chief Executive of Prostate Cancer UK said “These are genuinely exciting times for the charity. The fact that Royal Mail employees voted for us shows how much men’s health, and prostate cancer in particular, is an issue that just can’t be ignored any more. This partnership will make a real and tangible difference to the quarter of a million men living with this disease”

If you would also like to help raise money for Prostate Cancer UK you can do so every time you buy or sell on eBay. You can search for items being sold on behalf of the charity, make them your favourite charity and donate at checkout, or list items for sale with a percentage of the final value being donated to the charity.

  1. Macmillan Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK have been chosen charities of my business every year for the past 8 years of trading.
Both charities are plugged with every sale alongside monthly donations.
More businesses should get on board with promoting and helping charities, particulalry those that recieve no government funding.
