Skype are hiring, they have 400 vacancies to fill world wide, and they need the new recruits by the end of the summer including 53 new hires for their London office and if you’re a whizz on the Xbox then they want to hear from you!
They’ve got vacancies for a software development engineer as well as an Xbox designer with “the heart of an artist and the mind of an engineer” both of who will work closely with the Microsoft Xbox team based in Redmond, USA. There aren’t many job descriptions which include mandatory playing an Xbox as part of the job description so if that’s you then get your CV in pronto!
Skype is of course now owned by Microsoft although run as a separate company, so if you’re a keen gamer with a flair for design, or if you already develop Xbox games, this might be the perfect backdoor into working directly for Microsoft’s Xbox team.
