eBay.com launch smart new Tickets hub

No primary category set

If you look at the history of eBay UK, many of the most toxic PR scandals that the company has faced have regarded event tickets. Live8 springs to mind as the most serious but many others (football, Glastonbury, Wimbledon etc), even recently, have not resulted in good news or positive press inches.

The UK’s rather complex laws surrounding tickets haven’t helped, but equally eBay’s own reluctance to make a tricky (and essentially conservative market where the promoters hold so many cards) environment better hasn’t impressed.

Such coyness doesn’t extend to eBay stateside, and they have launched a new tickets hub and a new beta product “eBay Go Together” that helps you split the cost of a gig or game with your chums. The fun introductory video is very useful.

Take a look. It’s rather natty and definitely something that would be welcome on this side of the pond.
