eBay has a new logo!
Yes, you thought you knew all about this already, but this isn’t about the multi-coloured eBay marketplace logo which replaced the 17 year old jumbled coloured letter logo for eBay Marketplaces. This is the new logo for eBay Inc., the corporate group which, along with the consumer facing eBay marketplaces, also includes PayPal, GSI, Magento, X.Commerce, Gumtree, Stubhub and advertising sites.
The new eBay Inc. logo picks up the blue from the new four colour eBay logo and compliments the blues in the PayPal logo. Using the same font as the new eBay marketplaces logo, it also has the “Inc” added to the end.
It will be used to indicate the eBay group, rather than just eBay the marketplace, and can already been seen on eBay Inc and eBay Ink, eBay main street and eBay Careers.

Why are we still using an uppercase “B”?
Even spellcheckers keep correcting this and coming up with “eBay” and not “ebay”.
Does this mean when discussing ‘them’ online, you now type it as ‘ebay’ and not as ‘eBay’ 🙂
eBay say that the correct way to spell the company is still always with a lower case e and upper case B. Only the logos use lower case.
